Thorne and Wait are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative/Yard man for our well-established client in Oxford who are specialists in their sector. The role will entail managing the Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and control of stock you will also be tasked with picking and loading vehicles accurately for customer deliveries and offloading vehicles. As a warehouse operative you will be in charge of all operations in the warehouse making sure you are maintaining the upkeep and all functionalities are operating correctly and assisting with sales and deliveries. My client is looking for a candidate who has excellent communication at all levels internally and externally with an understanding of planning and organisation skills. Attention to detail is very important in this role and you will be working under pressure so you must be able to manage your time efficiently as well as being comfortable with using a computer and Microsoft platforms. If you have a forklifting licence and have experience with driving counterbalance and reach trucks this would be an advantage however my client is willing to give the necessary training for the right candidate. The working hours is Monday to Friday from 7:00am – 4:30pm (Please note you will be required to work every 2 out of 3 Saturdays from 8:00am – 12:00pm)All applicants must have a full clean driver’s licence and a track record working in a warehouse environment.
