Job Description


A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Outbound Warehouse Manager to join our brand new site in Crick, Northampton! It will be your responsibility to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the warehousing functions, whilst maintaining leading standards of customer service and employee engagement.

There are 2 separate opportunities for this vacancy:

Day Shift: 06:00-18:00, 4 on/4 off

Night Shift: 18:00-06:00, 4 on/4 off

Role Responsibilities of a Warehouse Manager:

  • Management of outbound loading in priority order to meet on time despatch requirements.
  • Liaising effectively with inbound & picking teams to ensure that outbound requirements run on time.
  • Labour planning to support daily requirements as well as yard management.
  • Monitoring retail/supplier outbound activity vs forecasting intelligence – for long range labour planning.
  • Proactively understanding and analysing operational elements which serve to increase productivity and reduce inefficiency.
  • Value added services (VAS); The calculation, communication and cost recovery from clients associated with VAS, plus efficient management of VAS completion.
  • Supporting the onboarding and training of new recruits in line with site standard operating procedures.
  • Ensuring all systemic activities are completed in line with standard operating procedures.
  • In the event of deviation, conducting CAPA + root cause analysis.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience within a similar fast-paced environment, ideally within FMCG
  • Demonstrable experience with people management and labour planning
  • PC Literate with competency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of on-site systems (WMS training will be given)
  • Strong attention to detail with effective organisational skills
  • Understanding of the importance of customer requirements, process flows and interface messaging
  • Proven knowledge surrounding CI, Root Cause Analysis & 5S
