POSITION OVERVIEW

Based at our West Campus Facility in Westhill the Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator will contribute to the successful delivery of our projects by providing controlled receipt, storage and transit services for all project related materials and equipment for the work site.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To ensure that all project material and equipment is controlled and processed in accordance with the company processes and procedures relevant to the function.
  • Receipt and distribution of both procured materials and those issued from the company inventory utilising the relevant SAP transaction.
  • Managing the handling, storage and packing of materials and equipment which is in transit.
  • Interface with the export logistics personnel to ensure accurate transfer of information to allow materials and equipment to be exported and imported correctly.
  • Receipt, inspection, distribution and storage of materials and equipment which are returned from the work site including the ongoing management of any project materials which may be re-used for future projects.
  • Liaising with equipment owners and base stakeholders to identify and manage potentially redundant materials and equipment.
  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders to deliver the continuous management of equipment stored at the facility to maximise storage options available and be proactive in promoting an expeditious approach to disposal of redundant materials and equipment.
  • Forklift operations as required up to a lift capacity of 16 ton where required and subject to appropriate certification.
  • Supports Team Lead/Function Manager and proactively contributes to drive the delivery of functional SCM initiatives, objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Assist with any other duties that may be required for successful business delivery.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Sound knowledge of warehouse management processes and procedures including UK Oil & Gas regulations and how they apply to the business.
  • Broad experience and a proven track record in warehouse activities in the Oil & Gas industry (Subsea experience desirable).
  • Good knowledge of Dangerous Goods and COSSH regulations is desirable but not essential.
  • Current RTITB forklift certification to 5te is essential, up to 16te capacity is desirable.
  • Must possess a good understanding of moving commercial freight by all transport modes and the legislation affecting these movements.
  • Experience with SAP ERP system is desirable.
  • General ability of computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).

  • Good written and oral communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Pro-active and positive to changes and challenges typical of Oil and Gas Sector.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, pro-active and open in communication with all interfacing parties both internally and externally.
  • Ability to multitask across different activities, flexible in approach and possess the ability to change priorities as and when business or client needs dictates.

  • IT system and tools must always be used responsibly and in line with company policy.
