45 Hours per week

Hours: 2.30pm- Midnight

Due to the nature of the role flexibility is required to work additional hours when needed and weekends during busy periods.

Salary dependent on skills and experience

The opportunity

Due to expansion and company growth, we are seeking an additional highly organised, self-motivated and driven Warehouse Floor Manager to join our busy team. Due to the ongoing demands of the role, candidates must be able to demonstrate previous ‘hands on’ experience in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager for JK Foods, you will be responsible for the running of the late shift operation which includes but is not limited to:

·Managing and motivating the team to ensure accurate stock inventory, replenishment of stock, and ensure the floor is clear of pallets ready for the following days operation.

·Having a ‘hands-on’ approach on the warehouse floor to ensure staff are trained and driven to achieve KPIs

·Quality checks on inbound and outbound orders where required

·Ensuring the team operate within legal and health & safety requirements.

·People Management- performance, development, absence, holidays etc.

·Collaborating with the Warehouse Shift Managers, transport Manager and the wider team.

·Coordinating and undertaking stocktakes as and when required.

The candidate

The successful candidate must:

• Proven Warehouse Management experience in a fast paced distribution environment (ideally food service) and have proven Leadership skills.
• Reach forklift license strongly preferred
• Ability to take ownership of issues/complaints with customers and staff and deal with them in an efficient and professional manner
• Be proactive and able to manage their time effectively, in a calm manner, in a highly pressurised and demanding environment.
• Have excellent people management skills, be capable of communicating effectively to the team and work closely with other internal customers to ensure the effective operation of the warehouse function.
• Have a dynamic nature and be very hands on
• Be loyal and committed to the role and Company
• As a key holder you will participate in an on call rota with other Managers for any security issues/breaches out of hours and will be required to comply with security requirements when opening and locking the store.
