We are currently recruiting for a brand-new position within Castle Fine Art for a Warehouse & Facilities Operative.As our Warehouse & Facilities Operative, you will be responsible for the maintenance and up keep of the Head Office facilities, ensuring full cleanliness, hygiene and safety at all times across the site, as well as ensuring full compliance with current government Covid Guidelines.

Joining us on a full time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week, you will receive a market competitive salary of £20,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus benefits.

Key responsibilities as ourWarehouse & Facilities Operative

  • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse facilities
  • Manage and monitor the current contract cleaners
  • Ensure full compliance with all Covid safety measures at Head Office
  • Administration of all incoming and outgoing post, as well as maintenance of franking machine
  • Completion of Health & Safety audits, including weekly fire checks
  • Up keep and ordering of stock for vending machines, and staff areas (milk, coffee, etc.)
  • Maintenance and upkeep of stationery stock
  • Daily maintenance checks on framing machinery
  • Maintenance and upkeep of first aid equipment

Personal skills and attributes required for role:

  • Previous warehouse/caretaking experience (Essential)
  • Organised with an eye for cleanliness and tidiness
  • Good level of fitness and health, due to the amount of physical work required for the role
  • Awareness of Health & Safety requirements – including staying up to date with Covid rules
  • Good interpersonal abilities including good communication skills
  • Ability to react quickly and efficiently to any queries or urgent tasks
  • Good time management and can work to deadlines
  • Clean driver licence
