The role

The Open University Warehouse and Production operation based in Wellingborough is responsible for the storage, assembly and delivery of educational materials to over 200,000 students, both UK and international.

We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Distribution Team Leader who can demonstrate a proven track record in supervisory management of a flexible workforce across warehouse and production operations.

Skills and experience

  • You will be reporting directly to the Warehouse and Distribution Operations Lead.
  • Be able to plan, deploy and manage resources to optimise performance, with a view to meeting and exceeding agreed service levels.
  • Take responsibility for the Health & Safety, performance management, development and motivation of your team of fully flexible Warehouse & Production Operatives.
  • You will have extensive experience working in a computerised warehouse environment and must show high levels of initiative approaching the role with commitment and flexibility.
