Warehouse Assistant
(Full Time – 37.5 hours per week – Monday-Friday)

A fantastic career opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Warehouse Assistant to join our large Garden Centre Group. As an integral part of the team you will assist in the warehouse with picking and packing, loading and unloading vehicles and maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse in line with Health & Safety regulations.

The successful candidate should be physically fit as this is a very hands on role and some heavy lifting will be involved. You must be fully flexile as some late night working may be required and also occasional weekend working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Picking and packing of customer orders
  • Ensuring all orders are 100% complete and correct items are picked and error free.
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles, in and out bound
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse in line with Health & Safety rules and regulations
  • To check goods against purchase orders.
  • Customer service
Skills Required
  • Fork lift license preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
  • The use of electronic devices for the purpose of stock control would be advantageous.
  • You will have a right first-time approach and a can-do attitude.
  • Able to work safely in a busy warehouse environment and adhere to company safety policies.
  • Computer literate and experienced with EPOS.
  • Excellent customer service skills
