Main duties of the job

Applicants for this senior nurse vacancy need to have evidence of good organisational skills as well as being able to demonstrate people management and leadership skills alongside the ability to care with warmth and understanding. The Band 7 Senior Sister / Charge Nurse vacancy is permanent and the post holder will work predominantly Monday to Friday supporting the ward nursing staff through delivery of high standards care to the ward patients.

The successful post holder will be required to support the Surgical Matron through ensuring high standards of nursing care and ward quality and safety.

All applicants must be a Registered Nurse, with extensive post registration experience at Band 6 or above .

Post – 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday predominately)

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
