We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our support team. In this role, you will support our young people and you will be required to be alert and observant at all times. Paperbag Cottage blends into its surroundings alongside neighbouring properties with the aim of becoming a fully integrated part of the community.Our homes are based across Southampton, New Forest & Lyndhurst, our specialist provisions are set in a calming, spacious sites, our services provide a therapeutic approach to teaching SEMH students.Our services support young people from Primary years to post-16, so it comes to no surprise that positive relationships with staff and students is at the forefront of what we do. We provide education through a holistic, SEND friendly curriculum, incorporating therapy, social skills and an enrichment program into our everyday teaching.At Aspris Childrens Services, we are immensely proud of the career pathway and training we can offer you. As long as you can demonstrate the values needed for a role within residential childcare, we will give you all the training and support you need to become a qualified Waking Night Support Worker.Experience isnt always essential but there are a few characteristics you will need to be successful in this role:Resilience We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.Communication Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.Organisation Youll need to be confident and organised in updating care plans and reporting information that will be relevant to the care of our young people.Caring Our young people require the best care we can offer.
