In a prime position just steps from the park is a brand-new destination restaurant located on Richmond Hill. Inspired by the abundance of local flora and fauna as well as the surrounding parklands of Richmond Hill itself, it is an independent, destination restaurant and bar embracing a contemporary, welcoming and timeless identity.

The newly created ‘144 on the Hill’ restaurant and bar provides an iconic setting for an eclectic combination of locally sourced ingredients. The robust menu includes classic British favourites, sharing plates, a nod to the local environment and embraces appetising vegan dishes, all prepared from scratch in our kitchen by our team of talented chefs.

We are looking for talented Waiter/Waitress (Bar and Lounge area)to join ‘144 on the Hill’ restaurant and bar team. As Waiter/Waitress you will have flair, charisma and charm with the ability to provide the highest levels of service to our customers. You will be responsible for bar service to include cocktails and some light refreshments within the bar and lounge area. Good customer service skills are essential. Candidates require a stable track record.

What will I be responsible for?

  • Creating memorable experiences for our guests, simultaneously ensuring that service is prompt and professional.
  • Supporting all the team
  • Working with the Bartenders to create cocktails that are timelessly classic
  • As a bar member you will train, lead and manage our team of Waiters and waitresses, ensuring that their development needs are met.
  • Ensuring that licensing laws, health and safety legislation is adhered to.
  • Clear communication with the floor staff and management before, during and after shift to ensure optimal service to our guests
  • To be responsible for ensuring guests are satisfied through both team leadership and face-to-face guest interaction

Is this role right for me?

In your role as a Waiter/Waitress you will:

  • Have excellent knowledge of wines and cocktails with a passion to continually develop the drinks offering
  • Ensures the compliance with workplace regulations in the department
  • Have previous experience working within a high profile, destination bar
  • Be passionate about creating fantastic cocktails with the ability to advise and recommend to customers
  • Have a clear understanding and knowledge of effective liquor, stock and margin control within a bar environment
  • Be self-motivated and an excellent leader with exceptional communication skills
  • Be a team player and willing to develop other team members
  • To assist with monthly stock takes
