Waiter - Chef and Kitchen Porter, required for a premier hotel in Cornwall, located at a beautiful coastal location, nearest town being Helston. Live in available. These roles are available for an immediate start basis and can offer full time hours. Couple or friends can also be considered.Waiter main duties include:As a Waiter you will be responsible for food and beverage service within the food and beverage areas working as part of a team. Training can be provided also if this is your first opportunity to work within the hospitality sector.- Preparing the restaurant / food and beverage areas for service and resetting for next service
  • Meeting and greeting guests
  • Serving food and beverages in a smooth and timely manner
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Ensuring the work area is clean and tidy
  • Flexible shifts covering lunch and dinner service, including weekends
  • Smart appearance, excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service
  • This role is hands on and will require you to work on a rota / basis 5 days over 7 for the full time role. However, part time hours may also be available if you are local.
    • Kitchen Porter main duties include:- As Kitchen Porter, you play a vital role in making sure the kitchen and all of the equipment is kept clean and ready for service.
  • The person we are looking for, will enjoy maintaining a clean working environment, being active and working with the Chefs to complete daily and weekly tasks. You will enjoy working as part of a team and always be looking for ways to help the smooth-running of the kitchen. You may even be considering a career as a Chef in the future.
  • No experience is necessary for the role, although it would of course be welcomed, but a positive attitude and good work ethic is most important.
  • Shift work will be involved, working 5 days over 7.
    • Chef main duties include:- As a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie, candidates require a stable background ideally from a fine dining / gastro pub style level and you will maximise the use of fresh seasonal produce within this role.
  • As Chef de Partie / Commis Chef you will be supporting the Head Chef and team. Good kitchen skills and food hygiene control are essential.
    • The salary for this opportunity of Waiter and Kitchen Porter is given as £11.00 / hour / plus a share of the tips. For the Chef role, salary is according to experience level and this is from £11.00 to £13.00 / per hour / plus a share of some tips. Live in is available for the full time roles. Transport - car / push bike / motorbike may be desirable due to location. Flexible hours may also be available part-time if required If you live locally.
