About the role

As a leader within the Product Management function, you are responsible to drive the success of the Air Operations sector whilst also collaborating with the global sales team and peers in other sectors to ensure Cirium’s overall commercial success. Specifically,

Develop and maintain a sector strategy and associated product roadmap which achieves the long-term vision for the sector, drawing on core data and technology assets of Cirium Model excellence in the Product Management discipline, leading your team and those drawn from other functions to achieve collective goals and deliver world leading product to market Understand the value of our products and be able to articulate to key decision makers how they relate and solve detailed customer business problems Represent Cirium externally, and be able to talk authoritatively about the domain to operational experts whilst also developing expertise in the market enabling you to spot trends and inform future priorities Adopt a long-term view, inform the priorities of your stakeholders across the business, ensuring Cirium remains ready to meet future needs of the industry

Our industry is going through transformation, and Cirium along with it. As such this is accurately described as a transformation role, and the successful applicant will be a visionary and strong communicator, who communicates from a position of deep knowledge. We expect they will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Aviation domain ideally in a Product Management role, working with technology-enabled products.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Design and implement long-term product roadmaps for those Cirium products servicing the needs of the Air Operation sector
  • Cultivate new product ideas and product improvements and evaluate their potential.
  • Work closely with the global sales team to drive commercial success of Cirium within the Air Ops sector, including adoption of products and data not specifically targeted at this sector
  • Model excellence within Product Management, ensuring a world class approach to discovery and delivery
  • Collaborate with leaders in Sales, UX, Engineering, Strategy and Data to ensure that Product Management functions in full alignment with the rest of the organisation
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of products and technologies for your sector
  • Manage product profitability throughout the lifecycle
  • Focus on use of analytics, to ensure a data-driven approach to the creation of customer value, new product development and sunsetting
  • Create and implement product vision, direction, and business plans, including product plans, product migration and evolution, and product life cycle and retirement


Key attributes of the successful candidate

  • Collaborative by nature. You need to innately understand the value of collaboration to achieving great things at an enterprise level.
  • Deep understanding of the Air Operations sector, and the ability to articulate this and use it to inform product prioritisation efforts
  • Excellent communicator in all mediums. Ability to inspire and represent Cirium externally, as well as representing the customer internally within Cirium
  • Attention to detail, follow-up, project management skills are assumed, along with the ability to move effortlessly from the big picture to detail
  • Key experiences:
    • Active experience successfully launching technology-enabled products to market
    • Working with various discovery techniques and forms of Agile delivery
    • Familiarity with Project Management techniques
    • Proven ability to attract and retain world class teams
    • A broad understanding of the Aviation industry and a detailed operational understanding of at least one of the following: Airlines, Airports, ANSP or UTM
