Have you been through a difficult transition in your life? Do you want to work with vulnerable clients as a career? Do you want to give something back by supporting others that are going through something similar? This role is an opportunity for anyone that has experienced difficult life experiences to provide 1-2-1 mentoring and emotional support to customers experiencing similar transitions. This opportunity will allow volunteers to use own life experiences to provide mentoring support, early intervention, encouragement, and information to Service Users looking to improve their life skills and knowledge and achieve greater independence. Role tasks include:
  • Developing positive professional relationships with customers
  • Working with staff to gain an understanding of customers in the service

Full training will be given to all health champion volunteers this includes an E-Learning package and 2 mandatory training days with the Volunteer Coordinator. Out of pocket travel expenses will be reimbursed.
