We are a small charity working for Earth and Human flourishing, including nonviolence. We are looking for a Trustee to join our small and friendly team, who would be able to take a role in overseeing our accounts.

What will you be doing?

As a Trustee, you would have input into the charity every few months through Trustees’ meetings, and develop relationships with the rest of the team. In addition, as the Trustee Treasurer, you would help us to make our accounting process efficient and advise on ways to improve on the financial status of the charity. You would help to prepare our annual charity accounts, ready for submission to the external examiner.

What difference will you make?

Spirit of Peace is a small charity with a large reach working with many diverse communities across the UK and abroad. We have limited staff hours, and having a qualified finance expert to oversee the accounts would free up the time of non-specialists who are currently spending lots of time battling with the accounting process. The Board is currently lacking a member with a specific financial role, and this is a critical gap. As Trustee, you would be supporting an organisation which works towards peacebuilding in the Middle East, community building in the UK, integration of minority and majority communities and the flourishing of people and planet together.

We are attaching a project brochure which will introduce you to the range of work you will be supporting through your role.
