Do you enjoy chatting to customers and being part of a team? We are looking for people to help customers with their purchases and be an excellent ambassador for Veterans at Ease By having volunteers supporting our shops we are able to process stock and rotate it on a weekly basis. We are looking for people to help maximise sales, increase donations and raise the profile of Children’s Hospice South West. Tasks may include:
  • Providing friendly customer service
  • Handling cash, credit card purchases
  • Keeping the shop tidy and clean
  • Encouraging donators to gift aid their donations
  • Helping to maximise sales
No qualifications or experience needed as full training will be given but the following skills would be helpful:
  • Good customer service
  • Happy to be part of a team
  • A helpful caring manner
  • Honest, reliable, trustworthy with a flexible approach
  • Respectful of others
Full training will be given therefore no specific qualifications are needed. It is entirely up to you how much time you want to give, most of our shops are open Monday to Saturday 9 am to 5 pm. You may choose to do a morning or afternoon, a full day, or a couple of shifts a week. Your availability will be discussed and agreed as part of the volunteer recruitment process, however we are very flexible. You will be volunteering with like-minded people, providing you with lots of social interaction, meeting new friends, learning new skills or using existing ones and gaining a new experience. Above all you will be making a vital contribution to a much needed cause.
