We provide, on call, a 24 hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and a seasonal lifeguard service. We have a large network of local volunteer fundraising branches, the members of which help to raise vital funds by putting on different events and activities in the local communities to help ensure that we can continue to save lives at sea. In Bridlington we are looking at creating something slightly different, which will enable all members of society to get involved. We are looking to build a team of people who either live or work within the East and West Riding area. Team members will be able to operate in their own areas (with the possibility of building their own networks) whilst at the same time maintaining strong communication links with other members from surrounding areas, enabling the team to pull together to run approximately four fundraising events throughout the year. Would you like to be part of this team? We would like to try to build a team of diverse people, all with their own unique skills and energy, who interested and motivated to create and run either a one-off event or a variety of different events throughout the year to help the RNLI to continue saving lives at sea. This is an opportunity to get creative and introduce some new innovative ideas to help raise money for this vital charity. You could organise a wide variety of different events ranging from quiz and supper evenings, themed dances, sponsored events and or activity days. It’s completely your choice!
