Buckinghamshire Disability Services (BuDS) has been supporting disabled people in Bucks throughout the pandemic. In the light of the new focus on mask wearing, we have decided to launch the Fair4All Card for disabled people.

What is the Fair4All Scheme?

Buckinghamshire Disability Services (BuDS) has been supporting disabled people in Bucks throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. In the light of the new focus on mask wearing, we have decided to bring forward the launch of our Fair4All Card for disabled people. The Fair4All Card is a secure photocard issued by BuDS to local disabled people who can prove that they are entitled to claim specific reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010 and/or exemptions under the Coronavirus Regulations 2020 and 2021. The scheme is of course purely voluntary but is intended to make life easier for both disabled people and the stores and services they use.

Specific Responsibilities

With strong support of wider Fair4All Team -
  • Learn about the Fair4All Card Scheme and to promote it to others.
  • Take the lead in developing materials and training for F4A Card Partners
  • With Endorsers such as Aylesbury Town Council, identify potential Partners and plan a ‘sales strategy’ for approaching them to encourage them to join the scheme
  • Directly approach potential Partners to encourage them to join the scheme in accordance with the sales strategy
  • Keep in regular contact with and deal with queries and issues arising from F4A Partners
  • Help resolve complaints affecting F4A Card Partners
What are we looking for?

Person Specification
  • Knowledge and experience of sales, marketing, public relations or business-to-business liasion
  • Working knowledge of using MS Office 365 and Teams software. Training will be given if needed
  • Planning and organising skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to build relationships and persuade and influence others
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with a wide variety of people including disabled people with impairments of all types
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and keep private information to themselves.

What difference will you make?

BuDS is a mainly volunteer charity and we rely on volunteers to do much of our work. In this current situation Covid-19 (coronavirus), we need more volunteers than ever. You will make a huge difference to the Fair4All project, as you will be promoting the importance of it along with getting more organisations and shops involved and aware of the Fair4All Card. Therefore, this will help make life easier for disabled people.

You will work alongside a friendly supportive team having access to training when required and opportunities within BuDS.
