Volunteers are needed to organise and run quiz nights for service users. The role will involve setting appropriate tasks and questions, and running the quiz on an evening. Administrative support will be provided if needed. Support and encouragement will be given by volunteers to service users throughout the sessions. Volunteers are expected to commit a to a number of regular sessions per month, hours to be decided by the volunteer to suit them.

Suitable volunteers should be friendly, patient, enthusiastic and reliable. Good communication skills are essential, and good organisational skills. Previous experience of working with disabled is not essential. All volunteers will be required to provide two references, and all volunteer roles will be subject to a satisfactory CRB disclosure. Volunteers will be expected to participate in standard induction training, Disability Equality Training and any other training considered necessary to undertake the role. Reasonable ’out of pocket’ expenses will be paid to volunteers.
