Newcastle Community Transport is a small charity organisation, established in 1974, which provides a door to door transport service for people in the Newcastle and surrounding areas who have mobility problems. We have two 12-seater, wheelchair-accessible minibuses and provide trips to places such as: Clubs, Supermarkets, Meals Out, Theatres & Visitor Centres We provide full training in the use of our minibuses and the care and safety of our passengers.

Drivers need to be between 25 and 69 years of age and ideally live within a 3 to 4 mile radius of Newcastle town centre. The work is most suitable for retired people or those looking for a stepping stone into paid employment. Just a few hours, one day a week will make a tremendous difference
