Currently the largest Scout District in Kent, this role will be responsible for the continuous recruitment & administration of adults to ensure the best quality Scouting can be delivered to young people in Medway.

What will you be doing?

Medway Towns Scouts, is currently the largest Scout District in the County which in turn requires large numbers of adult volunteers in a wide variety of roles to keep Scouting vibrant and active in our communities. Scouting is going to be more important than ever as we slowly return to face to face meetings and key to the mental health of all our members.

We are currently embarking on a huge recruitment drive to grow Scouting in Medway as well as filling a number of specific current and ongoing adult vacancies. We are looking for experienced help with this recruitment, induction and administration of our adult volunteers.

The role will include,

Receiving requests for new role availability.

Develop and execute recruiting plans

Creating role postings and putting them up online, advertising role availability through online channels and other media.

Browsing social networking sites for suitable personal profiles with required skills and communicating by phone, email, and in person with candidates.

To administer in a timely manner the appointment processes within the District.

Continuous maintaining of records of all appointments within the District.

Attend and contribute to relevant meetings, these may include District, AAC and Appointment panel meetings.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident person with a wide range of skills and experience in HR.

You will be able to integrate into an established team as well as liaising as required with other District Teams and Scout Groups.
