We are a small charity near Marlborough and are looking for a fundraiser to help with grant applications, look for donors and help organise events in order to raise the £15,000 we need to run annually.

What will you be doing?

The volunteer will be able to work in their own time from home although they will be most welcome at the group’s driving sessions. They will be working on their own, making applications for grants and such like, and approaching companies, both national and local, to secure funds for the group. They would also be involved in organising fund raising events for the group.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a fundraiser with good computer skills, someone who is happy to approach companies, charitable trusts and local dignitaries to ask for funds. Experience of completing applications - such as the Postcode Lottery - would be most helpful.

What difference will you make?

We are a small group operating twice a week to take disabled people out for drives in the country. The group needs £12,000 - £15,000 to run per annum. As a result of Covid, we are very short of funds and have only enough money to run for one more year, and are therefore, looking for someone to help us raise enough money for the group to continue.

The volunteer will be part of a small friendly team and would have the satisfaction of helping the group continue to function. There would also be the opportunity to help with the disabled people in a practical way and the chance to learn to carriage drive if they were interested.
