Who We Are

The Association owns and manages the Greenwood Centre. The purpose of the charity is to promote provision of facilities for leisure time occupations for the benefit of local inhabitants.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities
  • Attending monthly meetings (9-10 annually)
  • Following up on actions from meetings
  • Maintaining good financial management

What We Need

People with commitment and enthusiasm who are willing to take on unpaid responsibility a have new ideas and creativity to progress the Association into an even more active role within our local community.

What difference will you make?

We currently have four trustees, one of whom is moving away and will be retiring from the Board. Ideally we would like to increase to the maximum number of eight, giving us a robust Board with diverse expertise to increase the work the charity can do and the speed with which it can achieve the projects on which it embarks. Fundraising is a particular concern in order to enable more projects to be taken on and grants to be available for the purposes of the charity.

Before you apply

Applicants should provide a CV covering the relevant skills and experience for the role of a trustee. Successful applicants will be provided with a Trustee Guidance pack and set of Association Policies to read prior to attending a Trustee meeting as an observer. They will be able to ask questions at the end of the meeting. Applicants shortlisted will be invited to a separate interview with the Trustees, who will also ask the same set of questions of each applicant.
