Are you a Copywriter working in marketing?

What will you be doing?

You are a Copywriter working in the marketing or advertising world. You have some years experience and are looking to put something back into the local community and culture that gives you a different level of personal satisfaction to your day-job. You understand about writing to raise and maintain awareness across digital channels and the technical necessities for this to work in the current Google-verse. You know what acronyms such as SEO, UX and CRO all mean and how they differ in their insatiable desire for attention.

We are a small, energetic, charity who signpost those with addiction into the best recovery journey to suit their needs. We are constantly breaking down the stigma around recovery and work across a broad network of like-minded organisations. We have a small, voluntary marketing team of professionals who generate regular content and presence but who need help to take this to the next level. We are time poor but ideas and ambitions rich! (You see, we do need a proper writer).

You need to have an understanding of digital channels and how they integrate both technically and from a brand level story-telling perspective. You will probably be bursting with some really brilliant ideas about how this can work in a relevant, inspiring way too.

You would be well-supported working within our marketing team and under our digital media strategist to help maintain a social media schedule and engage with the community online.

If you have the relevant experience, can invest at least 4 hours a week and would like to learn more then please apply via Reach Volunteering. If you have any lived experience of addiction (your own or others) that would be beneficial, though not essential.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a skilled professional who has a compassionate heart and open mind.

What difference will you make?

What’s in it for the volunteer?
