As a ’soon to be’ newly incorporated charitable organisation we are looking for a competent person to volunteer with us and generate those much needed communications across our social media channelsWhat will you be doing?We work with anyone impacted by a cancer diagnosis and that means conversations. Lots of them. We need a way to tell these stories in a way that is sensitive and meaningful. We also have a strategy to produce podcasts and media that has a broad reach across the North East and North Cumbria and to the healthcare and social audiences we need to reach.What are we looking for?Experience of some of the below- Storytelling and Brand Management
- Community Engagement Building and nurturing an online community of supporters, survivors, and donors through engagement on social media and other platforms.
- Data Analysis Proficiency in using analytics tools to track the performance of social media campaigns and communications efforts and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Social Media Proficiency A deep understanding of various social media platforms.
- Content Creation Proficiency in content creation, including graphic design, video editing, and photography, is important for creating eye-catching and engaging social media posts and other marketing materials.
- Event Promotion If the charity organizes events, skills in promoting and covering these events on social media are valuable.
- Collaboration Working closely with other teams within the charity, including the medical team, fundraisers, and volunteers, requires good collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Cancer Issues A basic understanding of cancer-related issues, treatments, and research is important for crafting accurate and sensitive content.
- Adaptability
- Time Management
- Empathy Dealing with sensitive subjects like cancer requires a high level of empathy and emotional intelligence.
- Languages We serve a diverse community, proficiency in multiple languages may be an asset.
- Continuous Learning Staying updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies is essential.
- Passion for the Cause A genuine passion for the mission of the cancer charity is perhaps the most important qualification.
