Are you passionate about the value of volunteering? Beat is looking for motivated Volunteer Co-ordinators to join our volunteering team.

Volunteer Co-ordinators are required to recruit, train, induct and manage helpline volunteers and peer support volunteers. Digital Helpline Volunteers take contacts on Beat’s multi-channel Helpline (webchats, emails and facilitation of online support groups). Peer Support Volunteers provide one-to-one guidance by email or phone. The postholder will work collaboratively as part of a team of Volunteer Co-ordinators.

Our volunteers are hugely valuable to us and they enrich the organisation in many ways. The total number of volunteers will grow significantly over the coming year and this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in reaching that goal and support Beat in responding to the increase in demand of services.

The post holder will work flexibly, with some training taking place in the evening. This post will be at least partly home-based but there is an option to be partly based at our Warrington office. The role involves working cross-organisationally with colleagues across all sites so will involve some UK wide travel.
