The Foundation regularly runs clean ups with community members around the Medway, and using the vessels in hard to reach areas. The role(s) will be responsible for the safe delivery of clean ups following the foundation and landowners procedure and requirements. You will also be responsible for the collection and storage of the litter, data recording, social media, reporting and communications on the day of the event. There is an opportunity if individuals wish to develop for this role to also organise, plan and advertise the clean ups. It is expected that the clean ups in 2021 may be limited, which provides a good training oppurtunity, in readiness for 2022

A keen, organised communicator that is happy to lead a group of individuals, managing safety in a dynamic environment. Awareness of risk assessments and legal requirements is helpful, as well as consideration of the litter items safe storage. Training will be provided.

The role is out and about in the clean up locations, some are land based and some on the vessels, these can be coordinated by the same person or different if some environments are inaccessible. The role should be delivered by any ability, but will require working with children on occasion. The foundation is keen to engage locally so prefers you to be based in or near the Medway, or North Kent.
