We are looking for people to help with our Bumps and Babies Group held every Wednesday 10:30am-12 at Surestart, Buxton. We need friendly volunteers who can welcome parents and carers to the group, make drinks and help introduce new parents to each other. There is a little bit of setting up toys and tidying up at the end but all equipment is provided. This is a fun volunteer role you can do with your baby if you have one.

A willingness to make new friends and help other people do the same. When it is your turn to run the group you need to be punctual and reliable. You need to be able to communicate with our local volunteers.

The group is held at Fairfield Childrens Centre, so is wheelchair accessible. All volunteers are welcomed but this is a role you can do whilst caring for a young child. Length of commitment depends on how long you can volunteer for. The NCT provides a short online induction that allows you to be registered as a volunteer and then claim travelling expenses to the group. We hope to put together a rota of volunteers so the running of the group can be shared.
