This opportunity is for you to be able to support the children within the local area to enjoy themselves, by planning and delivering a range of activities to them. The age of the children that are 5-13 years old. The person that we are looking for should be caring, helpful, creative and willing to give up some of their time to support the children and attend the sessions. You will also need to be DBS checked. You may be asked to plan activities to deliver to the children during one session, but the main work is done when you attend the session. You may not have to attend the session every week if there are enough volunteers, there would be a rota in place to be able to swap them around every week, so that you don’t have to attend every week.

I would like you to caring and easily approachable for the children to be able to talk to you and be able to build positive relationships with you. You should be creative to think of and up with new games and craft ideas for the children to do and complete.

You may be asked to plan an activity before the session to deliver to the children during the session, but this would rarely happen..You will not need to pay any money to be able to complete this role, but it is not a paid role. You need to have a DBS check, before starting to work with the children in the setting.
