Have you always had a dream to help others? Are you a confident person who can help others in time of need? Yes? Cannock Chase Advice Centre need you! The centre are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join their team as an advisor. Some life experience is needed, but you will be fully trained to provide advice, guidance and support to individuals on subjects such as benefits, consumer matters and personal or family issues. We are looking for someone who can volunteer for at least one advice session per week. Cannock Chase Advice Centre is a volunteer-led organisation and has limited resource, we would appreciate genuine applications only - thank you.

Volunteers should: " Have some life experience, in order to cope with the intensity of some of the work. " Be empathetic and have good listening skills " Be able to work as part of a team " Have a mature outlook and a varied life experience " Respect and maintain confidentiality at all times " Be smart and professional " Be impartial and committed to Equal Opportunities. " Volunteers should be committed and reliable. Previous experience of the benefits system would be preferred although not essential

The Advice Centre is situated close to Cannock Town Centre and Cannock Bus Station. On Fridays, outreach sessions take place in Bridgtown
