Wellington College has an exciting opportunity available for a Visiting Teacher of Guitar to join their team. You will join on a self employed contract.

About The Role

We are seeking to engage an experienced and dynamic electric/acoustic guitar teacher to teach a wide range of students and to encourage and nurture a love of guitar playing that will be life-long.

There is at least one daya week of lessons with the possibility of more teaching as the year progresses.

Key Responsibilities Of Our Visiting Teacher Of Guitar
  • Teaching individual electric/acoustic guitar lessons to all year groups (ages 13-18)
  • Prepare pupils for examinations and performance as necessary
  • Monitor and give feedback on progress to the parents, through reporting (twice a year) and paperwork
  • Stretch students with imaginative and varied repertoire suitable to the student (including a wide range of popular styles)
What we are looking for in our Visiting Teacher of Guitar:

Essential
  • Diploma in Music Performance
  • Significant performance profile
  • Knowledge of a broad range of Repertoire
  • Proven Teaching Experience to advanced level
Desirable
  • Teaching Qualification
  • Higher Diploma or Degree at University or Conservatoire level
  • Performing experience
  • Links to the profession
  • Knowledge of relevant exam syllabuses
