The lovely team here at Vets4Pets Dumbarton are looking for a new vet to join us. If you are looking to work within a happy and friendly team, then we may have just the role for you!We are a small animal practice that opened in 2014 and have just grown exponentially ever since. We’re lucky to be a cohesive team, reflected in the awards won so far this year - practice of the year (won in April 2023, voted for by clients) and supportive practice of the year for our new graduate (won in June 2023).We are currently a 6-vet practice (4 FT, 2PT) led by Ciara, our JVP, with 5 fantastic RVNs, 4VCAs, 3 receptionists and a great PM. We have a wealth of experience within the team, with Ciara herself being 15 years qualified, therefore it is the perfect team to encourage personal growth and development. We are a close-knit and stable team with quite a few of us working together for many years, and we are looking forward to welcoming a new colleague into the team. This position is not a replacement. We try to always proactively recruit so that the team here are supported and not stretched. With an expansion imminent we are adding more space to the practice and so now we feel is a great time to grow our team even further (Just in time for the new toys to arrive!). We are looking for both full and part time vets to join the team, anywhere from 10 hours per week up to 40. For the full-time position, weekends are 1 in 7 full weekends and 1 in 7 half weekends (Saturday only), and the part time position is flexible, but weekends are required on a rota basis. We can be very flexible with desired rota - around what works best you. There is no sole charge or OOH responsibilities. We are ideally looking for an experienced vet to join the team, so ideas and current expertise can be shared, however we are also open to new graduates as we have the correct support in place, which is shown by our previously mentioned award. In practice we run 20-minute consults and have 1 hour per day which is dedicated to paperwork, plus an additional 90 minutes which is spread throughout the day. In addition, our team of excellent RVN’s do some of their own consults which takes off any additional pressure from the vets.Aside from the support and friendly environment, we can also offer a competitive salary of up to £70k per annum depending on experience, a contributory pension scheme, a generous CPD allowance which is strongly encouraged, paid memberships, exclusive company discounts and rewards including 20% off at Vets4Pets, Pets at Home and the Groom Room.We are based on the St James Retail Park in Dumbarton, just outside of Glasgow with good links to the city. If you enjoy spending your spare time at a slower pace, we are also on the edge of Loch Lomond and the beautiful Scottish countryside. To find out more about why Dumbarton Vets4Pets is the practice for you, visit our website and read more about our team and our 5* reviews! To apply please visit www.vets4petscareers.comLocation: G82 1RB
