Support Role (non-clinical)

Special Friends Animal Medical Centre is looking for a part time Veterinary Receptionist to join their friendly team. Working as a Receptionist in our clinic can be an interesting and rewarding role, coupled with the flexibility of part time hours which allow a good work/life balance.

Role Summary

Our reception team are the public face of Special Friends Animal Medical Centre, ensuring our patients and pet owners receive excellent care, often in an emergency or critical situation. As part of a small team, you’ll handle initial telephone calls from clients, welcome them to the clinic ensure that they are seen quickly and efficiently You’ll also manage the completion of client paperwork, take payments, maintain records and perform other administrative and cleaning tasks to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.

Role Requirements

As well as a keen interest in delivering excellent client care, you’ll be an experienced receptionist and an organised administrator, who is IT literate and a calm and confident communicator. Prior veterinary reception experience is preferred, but not essential. Above all we are looking for the right person to fit within our practice culture, and for someone enjoys and recognises the importance of the reception and client care role within the team.

Working Pattern

This is a part time position working 3 – 7pm Monday-Friday, and 9am-2pm every 4th Saturday. Cover for holidays or sickness absence will be an integral part of the role and will include some 8.30am weekday starts.

We have an immediate start available for the right applicant.
