Veterinary Care Assistant

Bristol Filton Companion Care

Full time Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) Opportunity.

What the job involves:
  • Reception duties, including desk, phone calls, taking payments and health care plans.
  • Monitoring and providing supportive care for inpatients
  • Preparing theatre and relevant equipment and cleaning kits
  • Cleaning and preparing accommodation for animals.
  • General cleaning of surgery
  • Restraining animals for treatment
  • Feeding and exercising hospitalised animals (inpatients)
  • Record keeping
  • Helping Vets & Veterinary Nurses

Personal qualities:
  • Good Veterinary Care Assistants are dedicated to their job and are passionate about animals in their care. You must be reliable, hard-working, flexible and good at working as part of a close-knit team.

Working conditions:
  • Full time positon, no night duties
  • Including 2 in 4 weekends with weekday hours discussed at time of interview.
  • You must be a minimum of 18.
  • Previous experienced preferred but not essential
