Working Hours: 8.30 am - 5.30 pm, Mon - Fri with Saturdays on a rota

We are currently looking for an experienced and skilled Vehicle Technician to join a workshop located in Penrith.

The workshop focuses primarily on fleet vehicles, specifically transits, sprinters, and other LCVs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of vehicles, including trucks and vans. A comprehensive understanding of automotive systems is essential, as is proficiency in utilising diagnostic tools and software to identify and address intricate issues effectively.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnosis and repair of various vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Execute routine maintenance duties, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and software proficiently to identify and resolve intricate problems.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all performed work and parts.
  • Engage in effective customer communication, providing detailed explanations of vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Uphold a clean and well-organised work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques.
Vehicle Technician Requirements
  • Possess an NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance equivalent or higher.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Vehicle Technician.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to effectively address automotive issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients.
  • Valid driver’s license.
