Location: BroxburnVacancy: Vehicle TechnicianSalary: Up to 34,500 Base salary + Bonus/OvertimeWorking Hours: Monday - Friday - Saturday morning availabilityRef: OC14495We are currently looking for an experienced and skilled Vehicle Technician to join a workshop located in Broxburn on behalf of our client.The workshop focuses primarily on fleet vehicles, specifically transits, sprinters, and various other LCVs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of vehicles, including trucks and vans. A comprehensive understanding of automotive systems is essential, as is proficiency in utilising diagnostic tools and software to effectively identify and address intricate issues.We are seeking an individual who possesses a genuine passion for automobiles and is dedicated to delivering work of exceptional quality.Vehicle Technician Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive diagnosis and repair of various vehicle problems, encompassing engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
- Execute routine maintenance duties, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilise diagnostic tools and software proficiently to identify and resolve intricate problems.
- Maintain meticulous records of all performed work and parts.
- Engage in effective communication with customers, providing detailed explanations of vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
- Uphold a clean and well-organised work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques.
- Possession of an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification or equivalent, or higher.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a vehicle technician.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to effectively address automotive issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients.
- Valid driver’s license.
