Job Title: Vehicle Quality Inspector

Location: BCA Blackbushe

Salary: £23,712

Working Hours: 40 hours a week, working 4 days on 4 days off (including weekends). 10 hour shifts will be between site opening hours of 7am-7pm.

Main purpose of the job:

To ensure the consistent delivery of Smart Prepared services and provide greater operational oversight on the ground for day to day operations.

Branch based representative for all Smart Prepared activities; including selection of vehicles for valet upgrade, coordination and management of vehicles selected for repair, ensure set quality and compliance targets are met through regular auditing.

Main responsibilities:

- Co-ordinate all branch operations in the inspection, movement and administration of vehicles requiring valet or repair services.

- Inspection of vehicles to assess preparation levels required/suitable.

- Gain authorisation from vendors when required utilising wireless ordering functions.

- Implementation of a simple identification process to ensure requirements are clear.

- Tracking of vehicle movements to ensure all upgrades/repairs can be carried out.

- Close liaison with Smart Prepared admin team to progress chase and ensure SLA requirements are met.

- Edit of BCA appraisals after work complete.

- The enforcement of both valet & repair specifications that standards are consistently met.

- Liaison with account managers to administer costs and charges correctly and ensure vehicles are made available for sale as quickly as possible.

- Liaison with both internal & external suppliers to ensure adequate resource is in-place.

- Quality Control of work when valet upgrades/repairs have been complete or failed.

- Discuss opportunities, process and criteria with vendor representatives.

- Weekly reporting of volume / Quality / Compliance performance.

Skills and experience required:

- A full understanding of the vehicle preparation services available.

- Competent with the AS400 Auction Centre System (ACS)

- Good planning and organisational skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work and communicate with people at all levels of the organisation both internal and external.

- Experience in body shop processes / roles extremely advantageous.
