DG Dale and Son Limited are looking to recruit a hardworking and diligent Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic and MOT Tester to join our team. Established in 1959, we are a family run independent dealership with a fantastic local reputation in Escrick, York. We pride ourselves as being specialists in quality used cars and offer a wide range of services including car servicing, MOT’s, and have a full paint and body shop.

We are a genuinely close-knit workforce and as a Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic and MOT Tester you will work alongside our busy workshop team offering servicing, MOT’s and repairs on all makes and models of car in our fully equipped service workshop. You must be fully qualified or time-served in vehicle mechanics and have a MOT tester licence, you will be comfortable with all elements of vehicle repair and diagnostics, maintaining the highest standards of work. You must have a proactive and enthusiastic approach with strong communication skills to be able to talk to our customers about technical issues.

You will be responsible for conducting vehicle servicing and routine maintenance inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately. Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects, effectively recording details of diagnosis, work completed, components utilised and road-testing vehicles to check repairs. You will keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety.

If you are an experienced qualified Technician (level 3 desirable but not essential) with a full UK driving licence, we would love to hear from you!

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm along with alternate Saturday mornings 8.30am to 12.30pm. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary and a stable position within a great workshop.
