Job Description

Ravenscliffe High School and Sports College is Calderdale’s only secondary special school, providing education for 212 students aged 11 - 19 years. The school caters for pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, including moderate and severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, autistic spectrum condition, sensory impairment, and physical disabilities. A small percentage have identified moderate emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Due to an increase in student numbers, we are seeking to appoint two Kitchen Assistants and a Lunchtime Supervisor/Kitchen Assistant. We are looking for someone with an attitude that supports the school’s ethos as a principle requirement. Whilst the posts initially are for one year, for the right candidate, these could be permanent.

School Kitchen Assistants
Pay Scale 1C/2 - £9.62 - £9.81 per hour
From 1st September 2021 initially until end July 2022 but may be extended
2 Posts – Monday to Friday, hours to be agreed between 10am and 2pm each day.
Chef Whites will be provided

Please note both posts are term time only plus 1 day

The main purpose of the role is to prepare and serve student lunches and be part of the school catering team. We would anticipate the successful candidate would hold a current basic food hygiene certificate or a willingness to complete the course.

Lunchtime Supervisor/Kitchen Assistant

From September 2021
Pay Scale 1C/2 - £9.62 - £9.81
Part time – Tuesday to Friday 10.30am until 1.30pm each day based at our Springhall site.
Please note the post is term time only plus 1 day

The main purpose of the role is to prepare and serve student lunches and be part of the school catering team.
