Job description

We are currently recruiting self-employed Van Drivers for business-to-business deliveries.

What will you do:

Collects and delivers products and goods safely and efficiently to shops, exhibition centers, warehouses, factories and hospitals across the country within a set timeframe. The driver will have the 3.5t van, insurance, fuel cards and navigation provided free of charge.

Your Duties:

• Ensures proper handling and delivery of all goods.
• Keeps accurate records of deliveries and customer authorisation and ensures all documentation is submitted to management on time
• Safely uses and maintains delivery equipment including straps and hand truck
• Drives safely and follows all laws and rules of driving
• Keeps company vehicle clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel and is ready to drive
• Communicates with management by phone to update them of time of deliveries if there have been issues or changes to their estimated time of arrival
• Follows pre-planned route
• Informs management of any obstructions to making safe, efficient deliveries on time

Rate of Pay: £100 per day (after 4 weeks of service, the rate will increase to £110 per day)

Job Types: full time self-employed, minimum 1 year contract

Payments: Weekly, every Friday

Start: ASAP

Working days: Monday to Friday

Shift times:maybe up to 12h with start times vary ranging between 05:00-10:00 am and finish time depending on the route. For the right candidates, we will allow to start and finish your shift at your own front door and return the van to the depot only for the weekend.

The ideal candidate will:

- Have held a full UK Manual Driving Licence

- Have good communication skills (at least basic English)

- Ability to drive long distances and sit for long periods of time

- Have previous driving experience (not necessary, we can provide training)

Salary: From £100.00 per day

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
