Job purpose

Support validation activities on the MY21/24/26 projects. Support Department functional development activities. The position will be primarily based at Stonehouse; supporting Gillingham Technical Centre validation activities. Some travel, remote working and flexibility may be agreed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare validation documentation and track execution of validation plans.
  • Prepare validation reports and provide reliability life estimates for products and systems.
  • Support the use of Reliability Engineering methodologies throughout the business.
  • Provide technical support for failure analysis.
  • Represent validation in Product Team and gate review meetings.
  • Ensure risk escalation is correctly executed.
  • Support continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure EH&S and Quality Management System conformance (IATF 16949).
  • Support department targets, Budget, Performance metrics and Quality Standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree level or other equivalent qualification in Engineering sector.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project managements skills and the ability to multi-task and switch effectively between different activities and priorities.
  • A data driven Engineer with experience in applying DoE’s and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams to meet company business objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good Reliability Engineering knowledge; Weibull, Statistical Analysis etc.
  • Knowledge of diesel common rail fuel injection systems, test environments and diesel engines.
  • Exposure to rig test instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis.
  • Experience working with customers and communicating at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office tools (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
