GSL Education is currently collaborating with a local school in Ringwood in the search for a dynamic and dedicated full-time Arts teacher. Although the school is mainstream secondary, you may still be supporting students with Special Education Needs on a 1:1 or small group basis. Therefore, any previous experience or knowledge of SEN is extremely desirable.


Position Details:
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for artistic exploration, promoting respectful behavior among students.
  • Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, providing each student with the opportunity to excel.
  • Emphasize real-world applications of artistic principles, utilizing hands-on activities and cutting-edge resources to make arts relevant and captivating for students.
  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive arts lessons in line with the school’s curriculum standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and future artistic challenges.
  • Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyze assessment data and refine teaching practices.


Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Teaching certification in arts.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS.
  • Proven experience teaching arts at the secondary level.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
