Position: Senior Nurse - Unit Manager plus £1,500 welcome bonus

Care Home: Thames House

Location: Rochdale (OL16 5NY)

Contract type: Permanent - full time hours available

Shifts Available: Flexible (Incl. weekends and evenings)

Rate/Salary: Up to £18.04 ph (£36,107 pa based on 38.5hrs pw) dependent on experience

About Thames House

Thames House supports 20 adults living with complex mental health needs and neuro-disabilities, including Huntington’s disease, acquired brain injuries and Parkinson’s.

The home has two ten-bed units, which gives it a homely and welcoming feel.

Thames House is rated ‘Good’ with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and has an average rating of 5 out of 5 on carehome.co.uk.

About The Role

As a Unit Manager, you’ll work under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) and will be at the forefront of clinical care delivery on your designated unit.

You’ll be responsible for providing strong leadership to develop and improve the standard of daily living for the service users in your home.

You’ll be a natural role model, able to manage a team of Registered Nurses, Trainee Nursing Associates and Health Care Assistants on your unit.

We’re looking for someone who’s well organised, can work under their own initiative as well as part of a multidisciplinary team, and is up-to-date with current evidence-based clinical practice.

This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse who wants to progress into a management role.

About You

You will be a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN and a minimum of 2 years experience.

You are a well organised individual with outstanding time management skills and are able to make decisions and work using your own initiative whilst working collaboratively within the nursing/care team.

Most importantly you are motivated by helping every individual, whether colleague or service user, to realise their full potential and be treated with dignity and respect.
