Face to Face tutor

Protocol education are currently looking to recruit a Specialist tutor who has an understanding of SEN and SEMH. This role is to support students who are waiting for a school placement and must be a confident communicator and have an understanding of Special Needs and Social,Emotional and Mental Health. The Ideal educator will be someone who has provided tuition support previously with all core subjects, sensory activities and able to adapt to each individuals needs. This role will be working within the childs home or a facility near by.

Part time: 10 hours face to face plus 5 hours of planning and prepartion: £300.00-£375.00 per week

Full time 2 students 20 hours face to face plus 5 hours of planning and prepartion: £600.00 - £750.00 per week

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent; or a Teaching Assisant who has previous experience of Tutoring
  • Experience of working with Primary and/or Secondary Pupils
  • Previous experience of planning lessons
  • Have an understanding of the UK cirriculum
  • The ability to work both 1:1
  • Great communication and de-escalation tecniques
  • Confident and Creative
  • Be reliable and committed to delivering engaging lessons
Roles & Responsibilities For Tutors Includes
  • Planning and delivering tailored programmes which complement ongoing class work, learning objectives and assessment plans along with the class teacher
  • Delivering tuition face-to-face and adapt the content, style, format of the tuition to ensure the most effective results are achieved
  • Building strong relationships with pupils and school contacts through session delivery, weekly review meetings, tuition progress reports and feedback
It is also beneficial to hold a valid UK driving license.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
