Are you passionate about helping vulnerable students achieve academic success? Would you like to support vulnerable children outside of mainstream settings? Have you got experience working with children one to one or in small groups? Here at Education World, we have immediate starts for tutors able to provide face to face tuition for vulnerable pupils in Gateshead and the surrounding areas. We are looking for a tutor who can support within a school setting on a full time basis. As a 1:1 tutor you will need to plan, develop and provide individualised programmes for students. This role involves:

  • Working with secondary children who may have additional needs or looked after (LAC).
  • Providing educational sessions within a school setting, but outside of the mainstream classroom.
  • Planning resources around the child’s needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects such as Maths, English and Science. You will need to:
  • Have QTS or a strong experience within a secondary classroom
  • Be highly engaging and able to build effective working relationships with children
