We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Trusts & Grants professional with a demonstrable track record in trust fundraising. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the NHS and experienced in securing significant income which will make a huge difference to the hospitals and community in Bucks.

You will be used to working with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, and have fantastic influencing skills.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising this exciting role will be responsible for securing gifts from trusts, foundations and major donors. As well as inheriting a strong portfolio of existing funders, you will identify opportunities by researching, developing and writing persuasive funding applications in order to match donor interests with the charity’s work. You will build and maintain strong relationships with funders to secure sustainable income and leverage high value gifts to achieve a six-figure annual income stream. You will also be responsible for the monitoring and reporting to funders to share the difference their grants make and encourage long term support.

Duties Will Include

identify funding opportunities and write tailored, inspirational applications
build and maintain strong relationships with funders and internal teams in order to understand to build a strong case for support
stewardship of existing trusts and funders and report on impact
develop and maintain a forward schedule of planned applications to grow income.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

proven track record in trusts fundraising with significant income secured through bids and applications to grant giving, statutory bodies and foundations
confident in identifying, qualifying and prioritising prospects, carrying out high quality research
first class written communication skills with the ability to write compelling and persuasive applications and funding reports
strong interpersonal, networking and relationship building skills
experience in stewardship and managing funders to gain long term support
numerate, highly organised, and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.
