Private GP Services is a rapidly expanding chain of private GPs. We pride ourselves on providing easy access to face-to-face appointments, while delivering the highest quality of service and patient care. Private GP Services has been running for over 20 years, and we are now looking to work with experienced nurses who are looking for a supportive work environment and good work-life balance.

The post will come with paid study leave and travel courses and is supported by senior doctors and nurses. We currently have both full and part-time opportunities available, that can fit around any current commitments you have. We offer a flexible model whereby our nurse can select the number of sessions they want to offer, with the opportunity to change this over time

What we’re looking for:

• We’re looking for nurses with a passion for healthcare and travel health
• Motivated and committed to developing the knowledge and skills required for the role and for ongoing professional development
• A dedicated and punctual professional
• Experience of working providing travel consultations in the UK.

The role will involve:

• Providing travel health risk assessments and advice to clients in the travel clinic
• Administration of vaccines, antimalarial tablets, medical kits and medicines under a signed Delegation of Authority according to the Patient Group Directives for Nomad
• Undertake COVID-19 testing for travellers and businesses in a COVID secure environment
• Interpreting test results and providing clients with certificates for travel or work purposes
• Where experienced, venepuncture and wound dressing advice.
• You will be expected to comply with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and will work expected levels of practice as per the RCN Travel Health competencies and development framework 2018 and used within context of meeting re-validation requirements.

Sessions

· 4-hour sessions - one or two per day

· Work part time or full time

Our Sessions

· Weekday daytime (8am-8pm) except Fridays till 5pm

· Saturday 8am – 5pm

Key attributes

Essential

· NMC registration

· Must be UK-based

· An interest in travel health medicine

Desirable

· Foundation/Diploma Travel Medicine
