Due to a recent restructure within the facilities department an exciting opportunity has arisen for the right individual to join the team as Transport Lead (Band 4). The Transport lead role will assist the Facilities Manager in the management, coordination and the smooth day to day running of all functions relating to car parking, internal courier service and the pool car fleet. The post holder will be required to support and deliver the Trusts business plans and objectives in relation to all transport services.

The successful candidate will

  • Demonstrate a can –do attitude in relation to problem solving.
  • Have extensive knowledge of external services ensuring compliance with a range of regulations such as, British Parking Association and debt collection agencies.
  • Have extensive knowledge of transporting biological substance category B by road legislation.
  • Have experience managing a wide range of staff, with proven ability to support and encourage staff to develop their potential.
  • Show well developed interpersonal skills including excellent communication skills, an ability to support change within a service, and the ability to work across organisational boundaries.
  • Have evidence of good budget and resource management.
  • Have an overall good skill level regarding I.T. systems including knowledge of car parking enforcement systems.
  • Have the ability to coach, develop and motivate staff members within the team.
