HMF Services (Transport) Ltd are a road haulage company, we are family owned and run and based on the Eurolink estate in Sittingbourne Kent. We currently hold GOLD accreditation with FORS, the fleet operators recognition Scheme.
Due to ongoing expansion, HMF Services (Transport) Ltd are looking for TWO dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our fast paced traffic office. The role can be demanding and full on at times, and therefore, you must be capable of working under pressure, to tight deadlines, be able to multi task and be very well organised. You will be required to think on your feet and be able to react quickly to changing customer requirements.

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Freight coming in and out of the warehouse.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles when required in line with weight limits and load security requirements.
  • General administration and ad-hoc tasks at the discretion of the Operations Director
  • Route planning for our vehicles dynamically during the day and proceeding days inline with customer requirements
  • Quoting customers on the telephone, via email and via online platforms, a positive and approachable manor is essential
  • The role will be shared between 3 members of staff led by the Operations Director.
  • The office is staffed between 0600 to approximately 2100 most days and you will required to cover the early and late shifts on a rotating basis. he Early shift runs 0600-1400, the last shift 1200 until the work is complete, normally between. Weekend on calls / out of hours on call will be rotated between all staff but in general it would generally be the odd phone call which are rare.
  • The successful candidate must be willing to be flexible in their approach to the role requirements, dedicated and willing to go the extra mile when required.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft office is essential.
  • Experience in route planning is desired.
  • An understanding of tachograph legislation and driving hours is preferred however a desire and willingness to learn in this area is also ok.
  • An understanding of FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) is desired but full training and guidance will be provided.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential as you may be required to drive company vehicles.
  • You must be able to demonstrate a geographical knowledge of the UK, especially London.
  • A counterbalance forklift licence is preferred, however, not essential as full training can be completed in house.
