We are a specialist heating services provider to public, domestic and commercial clients across the UK. Established in 1969, Liberty offers professional gas installation, maintenance and servicing, as well as energy solutions, electrical installations and property building and maintenance services.

An opportunity has arisen for a Transport Officer to join us to undertake all Liberty Group company vehicle administration and support the Head of Fleet in the day to day operation of the Fleet Department, in line with the Liberty vehicle policy and processes.

Key Responsibilities For This Transport Officer Role Are

Day to day administrative work to ensure the effective functioning of the Fleet Department

Ensuring all transport fleet vehicles are properly maintained and serviced

Ensuring vehicle checks are undertaken as required through managers and supervisors

Organising Driving Licence checks for both new starters and existing employees on a regular basis

Liaising with fleet/vehicle dealers and insurance brokers

Overseeing the starter and leaver vehicle processes

Ensuring vehicle utilisation is at optimum levels

Developing and maintaining an excellent working relationship with Operations Managers/Business Managers and Supervisors is also a key part of the role

Experience And Qualifications

ICFM qualification (desirable)

Any vehicle/ fleet management training (desirable)

Any vehicle maintenance/ mechanical training (desirable)

Fleet/ transport/ automotive mechanical experience required

Experience and knowledge of working on Excel, experience working with vehicles and vehicle maintenance, highly organised, strong time management skills and strong communicator. Full clean driving license (ability to drive all manner of commercial vehicles up to 3.5)
