Overview

City Recruitment Group are recruiting for a permanent Transport Night Operations Manager to join and lead operations. You’ll be responsible for leading the Transport nights operation for the client’s Medway depot; covering collections, deliveries, and trunking. With a small fleet of vehicles, you’ll ensure that we are constantly compliant and achieving customer KPIs in a timely manner. You will have 3 supervisors, 2 team leaders, 2 planners and 12 staff reporting to you. Monday - Friday ( 4 days on and 4 days off is an option too). This role is paying £42,500 annual salary plus benefits.

Your new Night Operations Manager role
  • Take full operational accountability and responsibility for your site, effectively managing your time to ensure a safe and efficient service
  • As a true people manager, you will focus on ensuring that your colleagues receive the right level of support, coaching and development
  • Manage the relationship between the business and its customers, constantly communicating across various stakeholders
  • Ensure that all teams are aligned, operating to companys’ standard policies and procedures
What You’ll Need To Succeed
  • Ideally, you’ll already be a Transport Operations Manager or have Transport experience in a 3PL environment, looking for the next step
  • Great People Management and Leadership skills
  • International CPC holder - desirable
  • A track record of resolving complex issues and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • HR related experience such as Disciplinaries, absent management, Accidents
